Many worry that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will replace human jobs and control us, but these fears are short-sighted. Despite concerns about job loss and intellectual property issues, it’s important not to dismiss AI’s potential benefits. Artificial Intelligence has the potential to assist people in their daily lives, taking over tedious tasks that makes them more efficient, and will someday be so integrated with our bodies that it will be indistinguasable between the biological and the technology.

The Apple Vision Pro is a new Augmented Reality gadget that enables users to view the actual environment with an additional layer of digital data superimposed, making it appear as though it’s part of the physical world. Consider the possibilities of integrating this technology into something like a contact lens, where it is always displaying information about the world around us.

Neuralink is an American neurotechnology company developing implantable brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). This technology has been used to help quadriplegics control a computer using only their thoughts. It is not unrealistic to think that this technology could someday make it possible for humans to harness the power of AI by upgrading our bodies and brains with a direct link.

As technology advances and converges in novel ways, it will become possible to enhance the human body. A technology such as Neuralink could be integrated with Vision Pro contact lenses, enabling us to comprehend everything we see through the power of thought alone. At that juncture, might we not be considered superhuman and have nothing to fear from AI?
