Anxieties Got The Best of Me, So I Bought a Motorcycle

My wife and I sold our 2020 Honda Civic over a year ago because I was working remotely and wasn’t driving it much. This was a second vehicle, and we bought it when I made daily commutes to the office, but after years of remote work, it was no longer needed.

At first, I was apprehensive about having a single vehicle, even though this was probably irrational, but I thought I could get used to a single car again; I was wrong.

Once my company decided everyone needed to return to the office four days a week, my anxieties got the better of me, and I decided to buy another vehicle.

I’ve been a motorcyclist for years, but we also sold my bike years ago because I wasn’t enjoying it as much due to my office commute; it was brutal with stop-and-go traffic.

Today, I purchased a 2023 Honda Rebel 1100t. It’s Honda’s newest touring model and comes with hard bags, bat wing fearing, and loads of other standard features like a 6-speed DCT automatic transmission, traction control, and ABS. This motorcycle resolves my anxieties and satisfies my itch for riding on the open road.
